The solution for Dream Smart Thermostat by Energex was created to optimize energy consumption in hotel, residence, or office building particularly during the cold season. The main idea is to regulate room heating based on occupancy, ultimately reducing energy costs and minimizing waste.

Initial request

The client envisioned a system of thermostats with built-in sensors connected to a cloud-based AI system that was not optimized and was expensive for the client. Therefore, the key request was to reduce the maintenance costs of this solution.

Challenges and Solutions

The initial design of the system was not optimized, causing them to send an excessive amount of data to the cloud. This data consumption quickly depleted the budget for cloud infrastructure, undermining the client's intended cost-saving benefits.

To create an energy management solution that could seamlessly integrate with various hotel systems and adapt to the unique needs of each establishment.

By optimizing the data transmission from the thermostats to the cloud, JetBase achieved annual financial savings of several thousands dollars for each 1,000 devices, which is 3 times less than the costs that the client had before. These savings multiply with a larger number of devices, resulting in substantial cost reductions for users implementing the Energex system.
