Remote Patient Monitoring Solution for Clinics

This web platform provides environments for clinics, where doctors sign up and use the web interface to monitor patients health indicators in real time. Also, due to AI, predict further changes. In addition, the system allows clinics to automatically track doctors activities, pay bills, and store all data reports in the system.

Initial request

The client reached out to us to design a new solution for the existing product, which was slow and could not work with a high load of information and patient data. The next step was to continue developing the product, complementing it with new features.

Challenges and Solutions

To process patient data that is automatically collected from tracking devices using AWS IoT and AWS Kinesis. Also to comply with HIPAA Privacy Rule.

To adapt quickly the infrastructure to high load, using the architecture of serverless solutions, as the application was growing rapidly.

To start predicting future patient health indicators and preventing critical cases with AI solutions.

Outcome

We delivered to the client a solution that can easily scale to high loads. With our team the product became ten times larger and more successful in the healthcare market. Also, due to the serverless architecture, application can scale without any problems in the future.

The manual billing process took lots of time to identify each action. We tried to find a solution that would automate and simplify the process. Also, medical insurance companies have different payment conditions, and we had to find a way to track it and to run doctors payroll calculations correctly. Fortunately, we did it without overloading the automatic process.
