Industrial IoT Cloud Management Platform for Heat Treatment Equipment

Cloud-based IoT platform for remote monitoring and management of industrial heat treatment equipment. The solution provides real-time device control, automated QC reporting, and proactive fault detection, built on AWS to support scalable multi-site operations.

Initial Request

The client aimed to centralize control over hundreds of heat treatment devices across multiple sites, enable remote monitoring and operation, automate and standardize quality control reporting, and build a scalable cloud infrastructure capable of supporting future growth without re-architecting, with the ultimate goal of achieving operational scalability and reliability.

Challenges and Solutions

Legacy Local Device Management

Each IoT device operated locally, requiring physical presence for monitoring and data logging. This limited scalability and created operational bottlenecks.

Quality Control Risks & Manual Reporting

QC reports were generated manually, increasing the risk of errors, inconsistencies, and compliance gaps.

Equipment Failures & Downtime Risks

Thermocouple disconnections, heating pad failures, or temperature deviations were often detected too late.

Outcome

The platform enabled centralized management of hundreds of devices across multiple sites, reduced manual monitoring efforts by an estimated 30–40%, accelerated issue detection to minimize production downtime, standardized automated QC documentation to lower compliance risks, and provided cloud-ready scalability, transforming fragmented operations into a controlled, efficient, and data-driven industrial ecosystem built for growth.
